ARMS & MILITARY – ROGER HADFIELD ESTATE SALE

ROGER HADFIELD (1934 – 2025)
Roger believed in living life to the fullest. It’s a strong value that he proudly passed on to his five children. When he told them to ‘shoot for the moon,’ he meant it — flying everything from B17s to Air Canada’s DC 8s. He was also the Canadian International Aerobatic Champion, piloting his 1947 Stampe biplane!
In Roger’s early years, he started working at the City Garage in Galt, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for mechanical craftsmanship leading to his own impressive collection of classic vehicles, horseless carriages, and Farmall tractors.
The collection didn’t stop there! Roger later enjoyed farming and ultimately retired in Milton, where he explored his passion for firearms. Up for auction there will be long guns and handguns, including antique rifles and shotguns, accompanied by ammunition and militaria. Every aspect of the collection brought him hours of joy.
Roger’s curiosity, skill, and sense of adventure were not only evident in his pursuits, but in the life he built with his family. He and his wife Eleanor, along with their five incredible children, never had a dull minute when they were together.
Kidd Family Auctions is thrilled to be working with the HADFIELD family in bringing their treasures to auction!
